開發具有抗菌及促細胞生長功能的溫感性水凝膠用於蜂窩性組織炎傷口修復之研究

Cellulitis, a prevalent infectious disease in Taiwan, affects about 7% of patients severely enough to require hospitalization, with a 50% recurrence rate post-treatment. Risk factors include impaired immunity, obesity, diabetes, and chronic edema. Current treatments primarily involve antibiotics, but skin repair issues and high medical costs remain challenges. This study aims to develop a thermoresponsive hydrogel with dual functions of wound healing and skin repair, integrating antibacterial agent PHMB and Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) within a Hyaluronic Acid (HA) and HDI-PF127 cross-linked matrix. The hydrogel is designed for ease of application, becoming viscous at body temperature (37°C). PHMB demonstrates effective antibacterial activity at low doses without harming cells, enabling EGF to enhance cell growth effectively. Preliminary evaluations confirm this hydrogel's potential as a novel treatment for cellulitis, reducing medication costs and improving patient compliance.
